Heartstart defibrillators
The Philips HeartStart HS1 and FRx are the defibrillators many Australian workplaces and clubs start with, designed so an untrained bystander can follow calm voice prompts step by step. The range covers the HS1 and FRx units with carry cases, the clinical FR3, adult and paediatric SMART pads, replacement batteries, an infant and child key for the FRx, a wall cabinet and an HS1 trainer.
The FRx is the more rugged option for outdoor and sports settings, while the HS1 suits offices, retail and community halls. The infant and child key switches the FRx to paediatric delivery without swapping pads, useful where both adults and children are present. The FR3 is the clinical step up for trained responders who want manual control and ECG, and its SMART pads adjust the shock to the patient so the responder is not choosing a setting under stress.
