These are the infant and child defibrillator pads for the Philips HeartStart HS1 AED. They are designed for use on children under 8 years old, or weighing less than 25kg (55lbs), including infants, who experience sudden cardiac arrest. The cartridge delivers a nominal 50 joules into a 50 ohm load, suited to a smaller patient, and the HS1's SMART Pads give the device feedback so it can adapt its voice guidance to your actions and pace. Keep a set with any HS1 used where children may need treatment, such as schools, sports clubs and family settings.
