Every Little Puggles Nappy in your Trial Pack is built the same way. We make one nappy, and we're proud of how it sits against baby's skin. Here's what you'll notice over the course of the three packs.

A softer feel against baby's skin. Our topsheet has silk protein (SeriPro™) added to the non-woven fabric, which gives the surface a smoother, softer feel than a standard topsheet. Run your finger across it when you open the first pack. You'll notice the difference before the nappy's even on baby.

A back pocket that catches the surprises. Most nappies are flat-backed, which is fine until the moment it isn't. Little Puggles Nappies have a built-in anti-leak back pocket that catches the runny newborn poos and the overnight surprises that have a habit of migrating upward. Particularly useful for newborns on breast milk and heavy overnight wetters.

A core that moves with baby. The MotionFlex™ absorbent core is ultra-thin and built with high-absorbency technology. That means less bulk between baby's legs, more flex where they need to move, and better breathability across the whole nappy. You'll feel the difference in how the nappy sits when your bub is lying on their back versus stretching their legs out.

Cuffs that hold without digging in. The gentle leg cuffs are shaped to follow the crease where leg meets hip, not press against it. No red marks, no pinching.

A core that pulls wetness away fast. The rapid absorb layer wicks wetness into the absorbent core in seconds. Baby's skin stays drier between changes, which matters more for sensitive skin cohorts than for any other.

A wetness indicator you can see without opening. The yellow line along the front of the nappy turns blue when it's time for a change. Useful for day-to-day changes and particularly useful overnight, when you want a quick check without a full open-up.

Refastenable tabs you can trust. Two tabs per side, grippy enough to re-fasten mid-change without tearing. If you need to check the fit after your bub has settled into the nappy, you can.

A breathable outer layer. The outer fabric lets air circulate, which helps keep the nappy area cool and reduces the heat-and-moisture combination that tends to irritate sensitive skin.

Dermatest® Skin Sensitive. Independent dermatological testing conducted on real human skin, not just a formulation review on paper. The "Skin Sensitive" grade is Dermatest's upgraded level, specifically for products designed to be kind to sensitive skin.

PFAS-Free (SGS tested). Tested by SGS, one of the world's largest independent testing laboratories, for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances down to the analytical limit of detection.

Chlorine-Free (SGS tested). No elemental chlorine used in our processing or in the final nappy, independently verified by SGS.

Where your Trial Pack nappies come from.

The Little Puggles Nappies in your Trial Pack are made to the same standard as every nappy we ship. Worth understanding where they come from, because the skin-safety chain starts well before the nappy reaches your bub.

The manufacturing facility. Little Puggles Nappies are manufactured in a factory certified to four international standards: ISO 9001 (quality management, scope explicitly including baby nappies), ISO 13485 (medical device quality management, scope covering adult continence products), ISO 14001 (environmental management), and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety). We chose this manufacturer because the facility's quality standards extend beyond consumer nappies into clinical care.

The core technology. The absorbent core uses Japanese superabsorbent polymer (SAP) from Sumitomo Seika and SDP Global, both top-tier suppliers. SAP is the material that converts liquid into gel in the nappy core; the quality of the SAP directly affects how well the nappy keeps skin dry.

The topsheet. The topsheet is a non-woven fabric with silk protein (SeriPro™) added as a textile finish. The silk-protein layer gives the fabric a softer, smoother feel against baby's skin. It's added to the topsheet, not a replacement for the topsheet itself.

The outer layer. A breathable PE outer layer lets air circulate across the nappy, which helps keep the area cool and dry.

The inks. Any printed ink on the nappy or packaging is mineral-oil-free, low-VOC, and RoHS-compliant, all independently tested by SGS. This matters because ink residues on nappies are an underrecognised skin-irritation source in the category.

The pulp. The cellulose pulp in the core is FSC Mix certified under FSC Chain of Custody (ESTS-COC-250027), meaning the wood fibre is responsibly sourced.

What's not in the nappy. Soy-free, latex-free, fragrance-free, lotion-free.

Open your Trial Pack and you'll see original watercolour illustrations on every pack. They're the work of Kate Smith, our dear friend and a local Bendigo artist. Every animal and plant is painted by hand.

Use your bub's current weight, not their age, to choose. Weight ranges overlap between sizes (babies vary), and it's always safer to move up when your current nappies start to feel snug or leak more often.

Is the Trial Pack the same nappy as the subscription?

Yes, exactly the same. We don't make a "trial version" of our nappies. The Little Puggles Nappies in your Trial Pack are the same silk-protein topsheet, MotionFlex™ core, anti-leak back pocket, and Dermatest® Skin Sensitive certified product we ship on subscription. The only thing that changes is how much you're committing to.

What size should I start with for a newborn?

Size 1 fits bubs from 3-5 kg, which covers most newborns from birth. If your bub is on the smaller end at birth (under 3 kg), a preemie-specific nappy from a hospital supply may fit better for the first week or two until they reach the Size 1 range. Our size range begins at 3 kg.

How long will a Trial Pack last?

Depending on the size you choose and your bub's usage, the Trial Pack covers roughly 10 to 16 days. Size 1 (108 nappies) at 8 changes a day is about 13 days. Size 5 (60 nappies) at 4 changes a day is about 15 days. That's long enough to see how the nappies fit, how your bub's skin responds, and whether the overall feel is right.
