Premium Australian-owned nappies for sensitive newborn skin. Dermatest® Skin Sensitive certified. Five sizes, 3 kg through 17 kg. Silk-protein softness, MotionFlex™ design, anti-leak back pocket.
Little Puggles are premium Australian nappies made for sensitive skin. Our topsheet has added silk protein for a soft, smooth feel. The MotionFlex™ design is ultra-thin, breathable, and shaped to move with your bub. Every size (1 through 5) is Dermatest® Skin Sensitive certified, PFAS-Free (SGS tested), and Chlorine-Free (SGS tested).
Designed in Bendigo, Victoria. Recognised by the Eczema Association of Australasia for suitability on eczema-prone skin.
What's different about Little Puggles nappies.
Every nappy in the range shares the same construction. Only the size changes.
Silk-protein softness. Our topsheet has added silk protein (SeriPro™) for a soft, smooth feel against baby's skin. Silk protein doesn't replace the topsheet; it's added to it, making the surface your bub feels softer than a standard non-woven topsheet.
MotionFlex™ design. The absorbent core is ultra-thin and built with high-absorbency technology. That means less bulk between your bub's legs, more flex where they need to move, and more breathability across the whole nappy.
Anti-leak back pocket. A built-in pocket at the back catches the surprises that tend to escape a flat-backed nappy. Particularly useful for newborns.
Gentle leg cuffs. Shaped to hold without digging in. Same fabric as the outer nappy, just contoured.
Rapid absorb core. A soft, fast-wicking layer pulls wetness away from baby's skin and into the absorbent core in seconds.
Wetness indicator. The yellow line along the front of the nappy turns blue when it's time for a change. A handy visual cue during day changes, particularly for overnight nappies.
Refastenable tabs. Two tabs per side, grippy enough to re-fasten without tearing if you need to check the fit mid-change.
Breathable outer layer. The outer fabric lets air circulate, which helps keep the nappy area cool and reduces the heat-and-moisture combination that can irritate sensitive skin.
Certifications you can check for yourself.
We don't print badges we can't back up. Every one of these has a test report behind it that we can point you to.
Dermatest® Skin Sensitive. Independent dermatological testing conducted on real human skin, not just a formulation review on paper. The "Skin Sensitive" grade is Dermatest's upgraded level, specifically for products designed to be kind to sensitive skin.
PFAS-Free (SGS tested). Tested by SGS, one of the world's largest independent testing laboratories, for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances down to the analytical limit of detection.
Chlorine-Free (SGS tested). No elemental chlorine used in our processing or in the final nappy, independently verified by SGS.
Recognised by EAA for suitability on eczema-prone skin. Little Puggles is a Gold Corporate Partner of the Eczema Association of Australasia.
The EAA logo represents a brand partnership and product suitability assessment only and does not constitute medical endorsement.
Australian Owned. Little Puggles is owned and run by Australian First Aid Distributions Pty Ltd, a family business in East Bendigo, Victoria, with more than fifteen years in medical and continence-care supply.
How Little Puggles nappies are made.
Our nappies are manufactured in a factory certified to international quality and safety standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. The ISO 9001 certification scope explicitly covers baby nappies, and the facility also produces adult continence products for clinical settings.

Inks. Mineral-oil-free, low-VOC, RoHS-compliant (all SGS tested).
Pulp. FSC Mix certified (FSC Chain of Custody, ESTS-COC-250027).
Soy-free, latex-free, fragrance-free, lotion-free.
Designed in Bendigo.
The illustrations on our packs are the work of Kate Smith, our dear friend and a local Bendigo artist. Every one is painted by hand. Each nappy size is paired with a different pair of Australian natives: one animal and one plant. You'll find a quokka and yellow bottlebrush on Size 1, and different pairings the whole way up to Size 5. A small thing, but we wanted every carton to feel like a small piece of Australia.

Choosing your size.
Use your bub's current weight, not their age, to choose. The weight ranges below overlap between sizes (babies vary), and it's always safer to move up when your current nappies start to feel snug or leak more often.

Frequently asked.
What size should I start with for a newborn?
Size 1 fits bubs from 3-5 kg, which covers most newborns from birth. If your bub is on the smaller end at birth (under 3 kg), a preemie-specific nappy from a hospital supply may fit better for the first week or two until they reach the Size 1 range. Our size range begins at 3 kg.
When should I size up?
Four signs usually mean it's time: the waistband is leaving marks on baby's tummy, the leg cuffs are pulling too tight, leaks are happening more often, or your bub is near the top of the current weight range. We've written a short guide on this: Size Transition Guide.
How many nappies does a newborn use per day?
Newborns typically use 10-12 nappies per day for the first six to eight weeks, settling to 8-10 per day by 3-4 months. A carton of Size 1 (216 nappies) lasts roughly three weeks for most newborns. More detail in our newborn guide.
What is the silk protein in the topsheet?
Silk protein (hydrolysed sericin, branded SeriPro™) is added to the non-woven topsheet fabric to give it a soft, smooth feel against baby's skin. It's used as a textile finish, not as a therapeutic ingredient. The topsheet itself is non-woven fabric; the silk protein is added to it.
How reliable is the wetness indicator?
The yellow line along the front of the nappy turns blue when it detects moisture. It works reliably for urine but is less sensitive for very small amounts. Most parents find it useful during day changes and for overnight nappies when they want a quick check without a full open-up.
How should I dispose of used Little Puggles nappies?
Roll the used nappy inward, seal with the refastenable tabs, and put it in a sealed nappy bag in your regular household waste bin. Little Puggles nappies are not compostable and should not go in green waste. We're working on a dedicated disposal guide for the blog.
What certifications do Little Puggles nappies hold?
At the product level: Dermatest® Skin Sensitive (dermatological testing on real skin), PFAS-Free (SGS tested), Chlorine-Free (SGS tested). At the partnership level: Recognised by EAA for suitability on eczema-prone skin. At the facility level: manufactured in a factory certified to ISO 9001 (scope includes baby nappies), ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
