Total:

Four sizes covering 6 kg through 15 kg and above, in a pull-up pant with 360° stretch side panels and side seams that tear away cleanly on both sides. Sold by the single pack or the carton of six. In a care setting the tear-away seam is the spec that earns its keep, because a soiled pant comes off without being pulled back down over the legs.

The specification that separates a pant from a tape nappy

A tape nappy fastens at the hip, which suits a child happy lying down. A pull-up pant goes on standing, which suits a child who is not. From roughly six months, once crawling and pulling to stand begin, the change is the problem rather than the nappy. The trade-off is soiled changes, and the tear-away seams answer it: both open under a firm pull, so the pant comes away clear of the legs.

Sizes and carton configuration

Sizes are set by weight, not age, and the ranges overlap deliberately.

Size Weight range Pants per pack Pants per carton of 6 Pack artwork
Size 3 6 to 11 kg 24 144 Emu and wax flower
Size 4 9 to 14 kg 22 132 Cockatoo and flowering gum
Size 5 12 to 17 kg 20 120 Echidna and pink bottlebrush
Size 6 15 kg+ 18 108 Wombat and wattle

Sizes 3 to 5 sit on the same weight bands as the tape nappies in the range, so a facility running both formats holds one set of bands and can switch a child between formats without re-measuring. Where a child sits in an overlap, sizing up is the safer default, because a pant that is slightly early beats one that is slightly late. On pants, leaks read either way, too big or too small, so waistband marking and leg-cuff tightness are the signals to work from. Each size carries a different hand-painted animal by Bendigo artist Kate Smith, so stock can be picked by sight.

Construction and materials

  • Side panels: 360° stretch in every direction, so the pant follows movement instead of resisting it
  • Side seams: tear-away on both sides for soiled changes and early toilet training
  • Anti-leak back pocket: a raised rear section that traps what would otherwise track up the back, where overnight leaks start
  • Topsheet: non-woven fabric with added silk protein (SeriProâ„¢) for a soft, smooth feel against skin
  • Core: MotionFlexâ„¢ ultra-thin absorbent core using Japanese superabsorbent polymer
  • Waistband: wide and soft, shaped to hold without digging in
  • Outer: breathable PE layer with the stretch panels integrated
  • Wetness indicator: a yellow front line turns blue, so a carer can check without undressing the child

Certification of inputs. Pulp is FSC Mix certified, from a manufacturer holding FSC Chain of Custody certification. Inks are mineral-oil-free, low-VOC and RoHS-compliant, all SGS tested.

Testing and certification

Dermatest® Skin Sensitive certified. Tested for PFAS, none detected (SGS). Made with no chlorine bleach (SGS verified).

Designed in Bendigo, Victoria, and premium Australian-owned. Manufacturing is offshore, in a factory certified to ISO 9001 with a scope covering baby nappies. The same facility also holds ISO 13485 certification, which describes the factory and not this product: these are nappy pants, not a medical device.

Eczema Association of Australasia partnership

Recognised by EAA for suitability on eczema-prone skin. This is a brand partnership and a suitability assessment, not an independent laboratory test, and it sits separately from the test results above for that reason.

The EAA logo represents a brand partnership and product suitability assessment only, and does not constitute endorsement of any type.

Ordering and delivery

Order any size as a single pack or a carton of six packs. Standard freight is $14.95 Australia-wide and express is $19.95, with freight free over $139 and an express upgrade at $8 above that threshold. We aim to despatch in-stock orders placed before 1pm AEST the same business day, from the East Bendigo warehouse or the Sydney fulfilment centre.

Bulk and oversized consignments can attract a freight surcharge. For pallet quantities, ring 03 5443 2239 and we will quote the freight before you commit rather than after.

Little Puggles is our own brand, not a line we resell. A facility buying here is buying from the brand owner, with no importer in the middle, which is what makes continuity of supply something we can actually commit to on a standing order.

Common questions

Should a facility stock pants, tape nappies, or both?

It follows the cohort rather than the product. Rooms weighted to non-mobile infants run mostly tape; rooms weighted to walkers and early toilet trainers run mostly pants. Overnight works either way, because the absorbent core is the same one used in the tape nappies, though some carers prefer tape overnight because the tabs allow a check without removing the pant.

Are these training pants?

No, and the distinction matters when a service is specifying. A training pant is generally a lower-absorbency product, often reusable, made for the toilet-training stage. These are full-absorbency disposable nappies in pull-up form. Services do use them during toilet training because the pull-up shape and tear-away seams suit it, but they are not a reduced-absorbency product.

What if we order the wrong size?

Our returns policy sets the terms. Ring 03 5443 2239 before sending anything back and we will sort the size swap on the same call rather than run a return and a fresh order separately.

Can you supply the certification documents for a tender?

Some can be released and some carry restrictions from the testing laboratory, so it depends which one is being asked for. Ring 03 5443 2239 or email info@firstaiddistributions.com.au with the requirement and we will confirm what we can provide in writing.

Wholesale and account enquiries for this range go through our agents and resellers page, or ring 03 5443 2239. The trade pricing published on that page covers the first aid range, so pricing here is quoted on enquiry. For non-mobile infants the tape format runs from 3 kg at Little Puggles Nappies, and the three-pack trial puts 54 to 72 pants of one size in front of your staff first.
