We started Little Puggles to make a nappy our own bub could wear without us second-guessing every product on the change table. The wipes followed the same rule. Bamboo fibre substrate, fragrance-free formula, every ingredient independently tested. Nothing on the cleansing side that wasn't there for a reason.

What you'll notice when you open the first pouch: the wipes are thick. Not flimsy or slippery. A single wipe handles the messy changes most parents need a stack of cheaper wipes to get through. That's the bamboo fibre doing its work.

Baby wipes for eczema-prone skin.

Wipes are the product on your change table that touches your bub's skin most often. Six to ten times a day, every day, for years. For families managing eczema, that frequency makes ingredient choices and substrate quality matter more than they would for a product used once or twice a day.

When your bub has eczema or particularly sensitive skin, every new product is a calculated risk. You're balancing what works with what might trigger a flare.

The four soy-derived ingredients are highlighted in the table. All four are at low concentrations and in ester or salt forms (not raw soy protein), which makes them low-allergenicity for most parents. However, parents managing a confirmed soy allergy should consult the ingredient list before purchase and discuss with a paediatric dermatologist or allergist if uncertain.

Why we use bamboo fibre.

The substrate of a wipe is the cloth itself, the part that touches your bub's skin. Most baby wipes use a synthetic non-woven substrate (typically polyester or polypropylene). We use natural bamboo fibre.

What this means in practice:

• Texture. Bamboo fibre is naturally soft, similar to a soft cotton flannel rather than a synthetic cloth. The wipes feel gentler against skin, which matters more for sensitive-skin and eczema-prone cohorts than for any other.
• Strength. Bamboo fibre wipes hold up to messy changes without tearing or shredding. One thick wipe replaces several flimsy ones.
• Substrate biodegradability. The bamboo fibre substrate (cloth) is independently tested as biodegradable. Important: this applies to the substrate only, not the whole wipe product. The wipes carry a wet formula, and the formula plus its packaging are not biodegradable. We don't claim "biodegradable wipes" because that would be misleading.
• Sourcing. The bamboo pulp is FSC Mix certified under FSC Chain of Custody.

We can't tell you these wipes are eco-friendly or sustainable as a whole product, because that would be a claim we couldn't substantiate cleanly under Australian consumer law. What we can tell you is that the substrate is bamboo fibre, the substrate is biodegradable when tested in isolation, and the wood fibre is responsibly sourced.

Certifications you can check for yourself.

Wipes carry the strongest certification stack in our range. Every claim has a test report or certificate behind it that we can point you to. Where possible, we've linked through to the certifying bodies' own sites so you can verify the certification standards directly.

Dermatest® Skin Sensitive. Independent dermatological testing conducted on real human skin, not just a formulation review on paper. The "Skin Sensitive" grade is Dermatest's upgraded level, specifically for products designed to be kind to sensitive skin.

Recognised by EAA for suitability on eczema-prone skin. Little Puggles is a Gold Corporate Partner of the Eczema Association of Australasia.

PFAS-Free (SGS tested). Tested by SGS, one of the world's largest independent testing laboratories, for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances down to the analytical limit of detection.

Chlorine-Free (SGS tested). No chlorine bleach used in our processing or in the final wipe, independently verified by SGS.

Toxic-Free (Safe Cosmetics Australia). SCA-certified Toxic-Free formula. The full ingredient list has been reviewed and approved by SCA against their Toxic-Free standard.

Made Safe (Safe Cosmetics Australia). SCA-certified as Made Safe, indicating the formula meets SCA's Made Safe ingredient guidelines.

Allergy Certified (Safe Cosmetics Australia). SCA-certified for low-allergenicity formulation, suitable for allergy-prone families. (See the soy advisory above for the specific ingredient consideration.)

Cruelty-Free (Safe Cosmetics Australia). SCA-certified that no animal testing has been conducted on the formula or ingredients.

Vegan-Friendly (Safe Cosmetics Australia). SCA-certified that no animal-derived ingredients are used in the formula.

FSC Mix certified pulp. The cellulose pulp in the bamboo substrate is FSC Mix certified under FSC Chain of Custody (ESTS-COC-250027).

Australian Owned. Little Puggles is owned and run by Australian First Aid Distributions Pty Ltd, a family business in East Bendigo, Victoria, with more than fifteen years in medical and continence-care supply.

How the wipes are made.

The wipes substrate is manufactured in a specialist facility in Jiaxing, China, the same factory we use for the wipes shipped to our adult-care line under our parent business. Choosing a factory with cross-category experience (consumer wipes plus medical-grade wipes) is part of how we keep quality standards consistently high.

The substrate. Natural bamboo fibre, FSC Mix certified, manufactured into a thick non-woven cloth. The fibre source is reviewed each batch for whiteness and consistency.

The formula. The wet formulation is mixed in a controlled facility against a fixed recipe (the LP Baby Wipes V2 formula, shared with Comfort First Baby Wipes V2). The formula is tested against the SCA Toxic-Free, Made Safe, and Allergy Certified standards before approval. Each production batch is sampled for pH and ingredient consistency.

The pouches and cartons. Pouches and cartons are printed with mineral-oil-free, low-VOC, RoHS-compliant inks (independently tested by SGS). The packaging carries the same artwork philosophy as our nappy range.

Designed in Bendigo.

Open a carton of Little Puggles Baby Wipes and you'll see Kate Smith's original watercolour illustrations on every pouch. Kate is our dear friend and a local Bendigo artist, and she paints all of our packaging by hand.

The wipes carry a different illustration philosophy to our nappies. Because there are no size variants on wipes, Kate painted a three-animal collective for the range: a quokka, a galah, and an echidna, surrounded by Australian native plants (wattle, banksia, and gum leaves). The collective renders consistently across our standard 80-wipe pouches, our 6-pack carton, and our travel range. (Our travel 20-wipe pouches use a botanical pattern only because the pouch is too small to do justice to the animal illustrations.)

Every animal Kate paints is one we've grown up around in Bendigo. The galahs especially. There's something about a flock of galahs at sunset that feels like home, and we wanted that on every box that arrives at your door.

Standard carton, single pouch, or travel range?

Most families use the standard 80-wipe pouches at home and keep travel 20-wipe pouches in the nappy bag, the car, or the pram. Both are the same wipe (same bamboo fibre substrate, same formula, same certifications). The only difference is the pouch size.

The standard 6-pack carton (this page) is the home format. Each carton contains six 80-wipe pouches (480 wipes total). Subscribe and the carton arrives every 2, 4, or 6 weeks (default 4) depending on your usage. One-off carton purchases also available.

The single 80-wipe pouch (this page) is the try-first format. It's the same wipe in the same pouch as the subscription cartons, so what you try is what you'll get on subscription. If it suits, you can move to subscription with 20% off your first carton.

Frequently asked.

Are these wipes flushable?

No. None of our wipes are flushable. Even though the bamboo fibre substrate is biodegradable when tested in isolation, the wipes still carry a wet formula and should be put in the bin, not the toilet. We stand against flushable-wipe marketing in this category because of the documented harm to wastewater systems and waterways.

What's the difference between subscribing and buying one-off?

The subscription carton is $33.95 every 2, 4, or 6 weeks (default 4). The one-off carton is $39.95 with free shipping above $30. Subscription saves about $78 per year (15%). You can pause, change frequency, or cancel from your account in two clicks.

Are these wipes suitable for eczema-prone skin?

Little Puggles is Recognised by EAA (Eczema Association of Australasia) for suitability on eczema-prone skin. Every wipe is Dermatest® Skin Sensitive certified, fragrance-free, lotion-free, and alcohol-free. Many parents use our wipes specifically for sensitive or eczema-prone skin. If your bub has a specific skin condition or known allergy, we'd recommend speaking with your GP or paediatric dermatologist before trying any new product.

My bub has a soy allergy. Are these wipes safe?

Our wipes contain four soy-derived ingredients: Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Phytate, Tocopherol, and Phytic Acid. All four are at low concentrations and in ester or salt forms (not raw soy protein), which makes them low-allergenicity for most parents. However, if your bub has a confirmed soy allergy, particularly a severe allergy, we'd strongly recommend consulting the full ingredient list above and discussing with a paediatric dermatologist or allergist before purchase.

Are these wipes biodegradable?

The substrate (the bamboo fibre cloth) is biodegradable when tested in isolation. The whole wipe product (substrate plus wet formula plus packaging) is not biodegradable. We're careful with this language because under Australian consumer law, unqualified "biodegradable" claims aren't accurate for the product as a whole. If you're shopping specifically for end-of-life biodegradability, the substrate is the right starting point but you should plan for the wipes to go in landfill, not compost.

Can I use these wipes for adult skin?

Yes. The same formula is used in our adult continence range under our parent brand Comfort First. Little Puggles Baby Wipes are designed for baby skin first, but the formula is gentle enough for adults with sensitive skin, post-surgical skin, or skin compromised by ageing. Many of our customers use them for older relatives in care. How long does an 80-wipe pouch last?

Depending on your bub's usage and the messiness of changes, a single 80-wipe pouch typically lasts 7 to 14 days for a single bub. A 6-pack carton (480 wipes) typically lasts 5 to 8 weeks. Most subscription customers settle into a 4-week or 6-week cadence after the first carton.
