Zoll Type 123A Lithium Batteries (10)

The Zoll Type 123A Lithium Batteries are the manufacturer replacement power source for the Zoll AED Plus defibrillator, supplied as a set of ten batteries in a storage sleeve (Zoll part number 8000-0807-01). The AED Plus takes ten off-the-shelf type 123 lithium cells, so keeping a spare, in-date pack on hand means the unit is ready when it is needed. Zoll specifies a standby life of five years for these batteries when installed in the device.

Zoll directs that only Duracell type 123 lithium batteries are used in the AED Plus, and that all ten cells are replaced together rather than mixed with part-used ones. For AED Plus units running software version 5.32 or higher, Zoll advises replacing the batteries every five years or when the unit prompts; earlier software versions call for replacement every three years. Check the label inside your unit or your device records to confirm the interval that applies.
