Real-time CPR feedback

The PAD500P uses HeartSine's CPR Advisor technology, which reads the rate and depth of chest compressions through the defibrillator electrodes, without accelerometers or a separate puck. It prompts the responder on compression rate and depth during CPR, which helps a first-time responder keep compressions on track. This CPR coaching is the main feature that separates the PAD500P from the entry-level PAD350P.

How it works

Once the pads are placed, the unit analyses the patient's heart rhythm and advises whether a shock is needed. As a semi-automatic AED it prompts the responder to press the shock button, rather than delivering the shock on its own. Voice and visual prompts guide each step, so a bystander with little training can follow along.
