A serious road incident, a remote-work injury, or a snake bite an hour from help all share one problem: you have to control major bleeding before anyone else arrives. This kit is built around that first job, with a tactical combat tourniquet, trauma dressings, and a snake bite bandage with a compression indicator packed into a soft bag that fits behind a vehicle seat or in a pack.
The contents lean hard toward trauma and venomous bites rather than the cuts-and-grazes a basic kit handles. You get a tactical combat tourniquet for life-threatening limb bleeds, combine dressings and island dressings for haemorrhage control, burn gel dressings for scalds, and a foam aluminium splint for fractures. A CPR mask in a hard case, universal shears, and saline wash round out the response so one bag covers bleed, burn, break, and resuscitation.
The bag itself is a hard-wearing soft case measuring 36cm x 18cm x 12cm, with fold-out compartments and carry handles. There is open space inside for items you want to add, so the kit suits a job vehicle that needs a few extras or a remote traveller carrying personal medication.
We design and assemble this kit in-house in Bendigo to meet Australian first aid kit requirements, and we ship it from our East Bendigo warehouse and Sydney fulfilment centre. FAD has been family-owned since 2011, and the same account that carries this kit carries the refill stock and dressings to keep it current, so restocking after use is one order, not a hunt across suppliers. If you want a hand matching the kit to your setting, the team on 03 5443 2239 has handled the range.

Usage
Keep the kit somewhere reachable from the driver's seat or strapped where it won't shift. Familiarise everyone who travels in the vehicle with the tourniquet and the snake bite bandage before they're needed, because both are time-critical and harder to work out under pressure. Check the contents every six months, for example on the first day of spring and autumn, or monthly in high-risk settings, and replace anything used or past its expiry.
Care and storage
Store out of direct heat and sunlight, which is the main risk in a parked car. Replace dressings, the CPR mask, and any expired items as part of the six-monthly check so the kit stays ready.
Common questions
Is this a vehicle-only kit? No. It's built for vehicles but works for hiking, remote work, and school excursions, anywhere a trauma response might be needed away from immediate help.
Does it include a tourniquet? Yes, a tactical combat tourniquet for major limb bleeding, plus a snake bite bandage with a compression indicator.
Can I add my own items? Yes. The bag has fold-out compartments and spare room for extra supplies or personal medication.
How do I restock it? Order the individual contents or refill stock through FAD in the one account, so you're not sourcing trauma items across multiple suppliers.
