Plastic forceps sit in the same part of a kit as tweezers, used to pick up dressings, gauze and small debris without direct hand contact, which is how Aero Healthcare states the intended purpose. They're disposable, so they suit high-turnover settings such as workplaces, schools and clinics where a reusable instrument would otherwise need cleaning between uses.
