The Smith & Nephew Opsite Post-Op Visible is a transparent dressing for closed surgical incisions, built so the wound stays in view without lifting the dressing. A see-through absorbent pad sits over the incision and a waterproof film backing seals the edges, so you can check on the site between changes rather than disturbing it. Smith & Nephew describes its purpose as helping to reduce unnecessary dressing changes and disruption to the healing process in surgical incisions.

It has a perforated low-adherent wound contact layer against the skin, an absorbent pad, and a breathable waterproof outer film. The waterproof film allows the patient to shower with the dressing in place, and Smith & Nephew states the film provides a barrier against bacteria, including MRSA (in-vitro). Removal is designed to be gentle through the low-adherent contact layer.
