Melgisorb Plus from Molnlycke is an absorbent alginate dressing for moderate to heavily exuding wounds, both infected and non-infected. Made from soft, sterile calcium sodium alginate fibres, it forms a gel on contact with wound exudate and saline, holding fluid in the dressing and keeping a moist environment at the wound bed. The gel structure means it does not adhere to the wound site once gelled, and its wet strength lets you lift it away in one piece. It suits ulcers, donor sites, post-operative wounds and dermal lesions, and it can be cut to shape or packed into cavity wounds.

This listing is for a single sterile dressing. Available in four sizes: 5cm x 5cm, 10cm x 10cm, 10cm x 20cm, and a 2cm x 32cm rope for cavity packing. It is a single-use product and should not be reused. Melgisorb Plus is not suitable for dry wounds, third-degree burns, or surgical implantation.
