The Lifepak CR Plus infant and child reduced-energy defibrillation pads (Model 11101-000016) let you respond to a cardiac emergency in a young child with a LIFEPAK automated external defibrillator. According to Stryker (formerly Physio-Control), these reduced-energy electrodes lower the energy the AED delivers to the patient by approximately 75%, the level suited to a small child.
Use these pads for infants and children who are under 8 years of age or weigh less than 25 kg (55 lb). At or above that age or weight, use the standard adult pads instead.
Compatible defibrillators
Stryker (formerly Physio-Control) lists these pads for use with the LIFEPAK CR Plus and the LIFEPAK 1000, and the operating instructions also cover the LIFEPAK EXPRESS. If you run an older unit such as the LIFEPAK 500, confirm compatibility with the manufacturer before you order. The pads connect directly to the AED and are not compatible with QUIK-COMBO defibrillation and therapy cables, so plug them straight into the unit.
