The Conveen Security+ bedside drainage bag from Coloplast collects urine from an indwelling catheter or urinary sheath while a person rests in bed or stays seated for long periods. It holds up to 2000ml and connects through a 140cm inlet tube, so the bag can hang from a bed frame or drainage stand while the wearer stays comfortable. It is supplied sterile as a single bag.

The large 2000ml capacity and the long 140cm tube are what make this an overnight and bedside bag rather than a daytime leg bag. A leg bag is smaller and worn against the leg under clothing for daytime movement, while a bedside bag like this one is sized to hold a full night of drainage without emptying. Many people use a leg bag through the day and switch to a bedside bag at night.

Features

  • 2000ml capacity with graduated volume markings for easy monitoring
  • 140cm anti-kink inlet tube for free drainage and fewer blockages
  • Stepped connector that fits an indwelling catheter or a urinary sheath
  • Lever outlet tap at the base for controlled emptying without removing the bag
  • Sample port for taking a specimen without opening the system
  • Soft non-woven backing on the side that rests against the skin or surface
  • Hanging slots at the top for a bed frame or drainage stand
  • Supplied sterile as a single bag
  • Coloplast Conveen, reference 21356, 140cm tube, 2000ml

Choosing a leg bag or a bedside bag

The choice comes down to when and how the bag is worn. Daytime and mobile suits a smaller leg bag, while overnight or bedbound suits a larger bedside bag like this one. If you are matching this to a particular catheter or sheath, or ordering under an NDIS plan, call our team on 03 5443 2239 and we will help you get the right fit.
