Bag II Disposable Resuscitator - Laerdal (1)

The BAG II is Laerdal's single-use manual resuscitator, made for lung ventilation without the clean-up or cross-contamination risk of a reusable unit. The ventilation bag comes in three volumes so you can match the patient: adult, child or infant.

The resuscitator is made up of five parts. The see-through mask seals firmly to the patient's face for correct ventilation and lets the provider watch lip colour, secretions and fogging from exhalation. The elbow between the mask and ventilation bag swivels 360 degrees, so care can be given from any angle.

The yellow PVC ventilation bag is see-through with an ergonomic build that gives a clear feel of lung compliance and helps avoid over-ventilation that could damage the lungs. An adjustable handle straps the provider's hand to the bag to reduce fatigue, so hand size and bag size do not affect control.

For supplemental oxygen from an external source, the BAG II includes a closed system oxygen reservoir with universal Star-Lumen oxygen tubing that connects straight to the oxygen source. This lets providers deliver 98 to 100% oxygen concentration, with no adapter needed between the tubing and flow meter.

The BAG II comes in three sizes: adult for patients over 20 kg, child for patients between 10 and 20 kg, and infant for patients between 2.5 and 12 kg. The child and infant options have a pop-off valve on the elbow that releases when pressure exceeds 35 cm H2O, protecting smaller, more vulnerable lungs from over-pressure.

It carries the features of a reusable resuscitator with the convenience of a disposable unit, at a lower cost per use.
