For patients who want to get on with everyday life while a wound heals, Allevyn Life is an all-in-one silicone foam dressing built around comfort and discretion. Smith & Nephew describes its purpose as wound management and pressure injury prevention, with a multi-layer build that absorbs exudate, locks it in to help prevent leakage and helps control wound odour. Smith & Nephew states the breathable, waterproof top film acts as a barrier while the dressing remains intact, so follow the instructions for use.

Smith & Nephew describes a gentle silicone wound contact adhesive that is easy to apply and remove and is shown to minimise pain and trauma at dressing changes, a foam layer that cushions and spreads pressure, and an EXUMASK masking layer that minimises the visual impact of absorbed exudate so the dressing looks less clinical. Its quadrilobe shape, alongside heel and sacral shapes, has a wide border designed to fit the contours of the body and stay in place over awkward sites.
