Allevyn Heel Wound Dressing (1)

The Smith & Nephew Allevyn Heel is a non-adhesive foam dressing shaped for the heel, one of the harder sites on the body to dress and keep covered. It is a single sterile dressing measuring 10.5cm x 13.5cm, a conformable foam for a difficult contour like the heel.

The conformable foam follows the heel contour, and because it is non-adhesive it needs a secondary fixation such as a bandage, tape or net to hold it in place. Wear time is up to seven days depending on the wound and the volume of exudate, which means fewer dressing changes over a course of treatment.
