Allevyn Gentle Border (1)

The soft silicone adhesive border on Allevyn Gentle Border holds the dressing securely yet lifts away with little pain, so dressing changes pull less at fragile skin. Smith & Nephew describes it as a hydrocellular silicone foam dressing for exuding wounds, designed to hold a moist wound environment while absorbing fluid. The gel-style silicone also lets the dressing be repositioned during application.

The foam pad absorbs and retains exudate, and the breathable, waterproof film backing protects the wound and lets the patient shower with the dressing in place. It is indicated for a range of acute and chronic exuding wounds, including leg and diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, skin tears and minor burns. The secure border can allow longer wear between changes depending on the wound and exudate level.

Stocked in five sizes, from 7.5cm x 7.5cm up to a heel shape at 23cm x 23.2cm.
