Allevyn AG Non Adhesive Silver Dressing (1)

Allevyn Ag Non-Adhesive is a hydrocellular foam dressing that contains silver, for exuding wounds that are infected or at risk of infection where an adhesive is not wanted. Smith & Nephew states the silver sulfadiazine provides a barrier to microbial contamination to protect the wound from invasive pathogenic microorganisms, shown in-vitro, and the foam absorbs and retains exudate to keep a moist wound environment. Because it has no adhesive border, it is held with a secondary dressing or bandage, which suits fragile skin and areas where a border will not sit.

Smith & Nephew indicates the dressing for exudate absorption and the management of partial to full thickness wounds, including pressure injuries, venous and diabetic ulcers, surgically dehisced wounds, donor sites and burns.
