It contains silver sulphadiazine, which Smith & Nephew states is released at the wound surface to provide sustained antimicrobial activity.

Smith & Nephew's triple-action hydrocellular technology is designed to absorb exudate, retain it under the pad and let moisture vapour pass through the film, while the silicone border lets the dressing be lifted and repositioned during application. It suits exuding wounds that are infected or at risk of infection, including in patients with sensitive skin. Smith & Nephew indicates a wear time of up to seven days depending on the wound and exudate level.

Stocked in four sizes from 7.5cm x 7.5cm to 17.5cm x 17.5cm. Smith & Nephew supplies each dressing sterile for single use, so a fresh one is used at each change; the quantity in each unit is shown on the size you select. Match the pad to the wound with a small margin of healthy skin around it, so the wound bed sits within the central pad rather than under the adhesive border.
