Advanced Life Support First Aid Kit - ALS Trauma Backpack

This is a 54cm x 48cm x 32cm trauma backpack stocked for advanced life support, built for first responders who carry a serious response capability to the patient rather than waiting at a fixed station. Inside are airway management, resuscitation, haemorrhage control, diagnostics and burn and eye modules, organised across colour-coded transparent compartments.

The kit carries the airway and resuscitation gear an advanced responder expects: a Bag II disposable resuscitator, a Guedel airway kit, a nasopharyngeal airway set in four sizes, a CPR mask in a hard case, Magill forceps and a disposable scalpel. Diagnostics include a sphygmomanometer, a stethoscope and an infra-red ear thermometer. Trauma cover runs from a multi-trauma combine dressing and a foam aluminium splint to a burns module, an eye module with 250ml saline irrigation, and a wide range of dressings, bandages and gloves.

The red backpack has a main body with elastic retention bands, detachable colour-coded transparent compartments, a waterproof cover, Molle straps for extra components, hidden compression straps, shoulder straps and dual handles. It carries comfortably and unpacks fast at the scene.

We design and assemble this kit in-house in Bendigo, drawing on the same range that supplies aged care, community nursing and workplace responders across Australia. Usage

This kit is intended for trained first responders and healthcare professionals. The colour-coded compartments group airway, resuscitation, trauma and diagnostics so the right module comes out fast. Keep the consumables current with a six-monthly check, and replace airway, resuscitation and dressing items after any use.

Care and storage

Store out of direct heat and sunlight. The waterproof cover protects the contents in the field, but check seals and replace any expired airway, dressing or pharmacy items at each six-monthly review.
