3M Microfoam Surgical Tape (1)

Microfoam surgical tape is an elastic, closed-cell soft foam tape from Solventum (formerly 3M), made to stretch in every direction and move with the body. It secures dressings and devices over joints, contours and areas of swelling, where a rigid tape would lift or pull away. The foam conforms as the skin moves, so it holds through flexion and changes in limb size. It is hypoallergenic and latex-free, with gentle adhesion suited to sensitive skin.

Reach for it when the taping site is awkward or likely to swell, such as over a knee, elbow, heel or the back of a hand, or to hold a dressing that needs to flex with the patient. The multi-directional stretch lets a single strip follow a contour that flat tape cannot. Each roll is 3 metres long, shorter than a standard paper tape roll, so it suits targeted taping rather than bulk use.
