Combine Dressing

Combine Dressing

On a worksite or in an ambulance, a combine dressing is the large absorbent pad that goes over a heavily bleeding or weeping wound to soak up volume and pad the site. Combine dressings pair an absorbent core with a non-woven cover, so they take on a lot of fluid while spreading pressure across a wider area.

They are a passive dressing: they absorb and protect, they do not actively clot. That is the line between a combine pad and a haemostatic dressing, which is built to speed clotting in severe bleeds. For a trauma pad with fixation built in, the trauma dressing collection is the next step up.

FAD keeps the Aero Combine Dressing and the larger Combine Dressing Multi Trauma 20cm x 90cm in stock for major wounds. The wound care guide sets out when to layer absorbency over a wound.

Both sizes are stocked for national delivery from our East Bendigo warehouse and Sydney fulfilment centre.

Always read the instructions for use.
