Leukosan Adhesive Skin Glue (1)

Leukosan Adhesive Skin Glue is a sterile, high-viscosity cyanoacrylate wound adhesive. It is used topically to close surgical incisions and minor wounds where the skin edges sit together easily and the area is under low tension, as an alternative to stitches for suitable wounds. The adhesive is violet coloured so you can see clearly where it has been applied.

It is made from 2-octyl and n-butyl cyanoacrylate monomers and polymerises through contact with the skin's own moisture within a short time, so no separate activator is needed. The manufacturer intends the device to be used topically by trained healthcare professionals.
