Trauma Dressing

Trauma Dressing

At a crash scene, a worksite incident or a remote sideline, the priority for a major bleed is pressure on the wound, firm and fast. A trauma dressing is built for that: a sterile absorbent pad attached to a long bandage with a pressure applicator, so one dressing both covers the wound and applies the pressure that slows heavy bleeding.

The Trauma and Haemorrhage Control dressing is the emergency bandage built for a single responder to apply one-handed. The Multi Trauma combine dressing from Aero gives a large absorbent pad for a big wound where pressure is held separately. A trauma dressing applies pressure; a haemostatic dressing works differently, using an agent that helps the blood clot.

See the QuikClot haemostatic dressing range for that, and for everyday high-absorbency cover without the pressure bandage, the combine dressing range is the simpler choice. Our wound care guide covers bleeding control. Call the FAD team on 03 5443 2239 to match trauma dressings to a vehicle, worksite or remote kit.

Always read the instructions for use.
